U.S. Army SGT Devin A. Seibel, 26, of Robinson, Texas, died on May 31, 2026, at Erbil Air Base, Iraq, during a training-related incident while supporting Operation Inherent Resolve. He was assigned to the Air Ambulance Company, 2nd Battalion, 4th Combat Aviation Brigade, Fort Carson, Colorado.
SGT Seibel served as a combat medic specialist and flight paramedic. Military Times reported that he enlisted in May 2017 and previously deployed to Afghanistan in 2020-2021. His command remembered him as an exceptional noncommissioned officer, friend, and husband whose service, compassion, and dedication left a lasting impact on the Ivy Eagle Brigade.
Seibel was a 2018 graduate of Robinson High School in Texas. Local reporting from KWTX noted that teachers and the Robinson community remembered him as driven, hardworking, and committed to serving his country.
