Remembering Connor Overstreet.
Lieutenant Connor Scott Overstreet gave his life to a simple, powerful mission: to save others. A native of Reno, Nevada, Connor earned an engineering degree from the University of Nevada, Reno before answering the call to serve in the United States Coast Guard. He became a helicopter pilot stationed at Coast Guard Air Station Ventura, where his goal, as his wife Madeleine remembered, was to save lives by flying for the Coast Guard.
Those who knew him describe a man of warmth and purpose, a devoted husband and a beloved brother to Shea. Connor was 29 when his life was taken in an act of senseless violence in Washington state on August 23, 2026. His shipmates returned him home with full honors. Steel Hearts remembers Connor for the lives he was ready to reach for, and the love he leaves behind.
