From David’s obituary:

He was born on September 3, 1987, in Pulaski Co., Arkansas to Mark Alan Remick and Kathryn Byrd Remick. David was a 2006 graduate of SouthLake Christian Academy and a 2011 graduate of the U.S. Naval Academy. He went on to serve our country as an officer in the Marine Corps., just completing a tour in Afghanistan. In addition to his parents, survivors include his siblings, Scott Jernigan, Samuel Remick, Thomas Remick: grandparents, Mark and Patricia Remick of Alleghany, PA, and Sam and Barbara Byrd of Smithfield, NC. The name David means beloved. He was a beloved son, brother, and friend to so many. He was always ready to serve others with a smile and a helping hand.
