Kurt A. Smith, 24, passed Monday, April 28, 2025, in Italy while serving with the U.S. Navy.
Kurt was born October 24, 2000, in York, the son of Eric E. and Theresa K. (Moore) Smith of New Oxford.
Kurt was a 2019 graduate of New Oxford High School, and was serving in the U.S. Navy stationed at Naval Air Station Sigonella, in Lentini, Sicily, Italy. He was an avid collector of firearms, enjoyed target practice, sports, art, and motorcycles, and Kurt had and amazing impact on everyone he met.
In addition to his parents, Eric and Theresa, Kurt is survived by his grandfather, J. Richard Hoff, and a big family that loved him. He was predeceased by an uncle, Richard L. Hoff, an aunt, Christine Smith, two grandfathers and two grandmothers.
