Fireman First Class Frank Kaszer, from Beaver Falls, PA was killed in action while on the USS Skill (AM115} on September 25th, 1943.

The USS Skill was sunken by a German Submarine while in action in Salerno, Italy {off the shores of Italy}.

Most of the members of the crew were lost at sea. There were only a few survivors.
