Second Lieutenant Diehl was discovered deceased in his home on 13 October 16. 2LT Diehl was assigned to Fort Rucker, AL and was undergoing flight training. The cause of death is currently under investigation. He graduated from the United States Military Academy at West Point in 2015 and earned a degree in Economics. Lieutenant Diehl is also a graduate of Chaminade College Preparatory School, Class of 2011.
