1LT Neale Moran Shank, 25, died Friday, March 31, 2007, in Iraq while serving his country during Operation Iraqi Freedom. He graduated from Concordia Lutheran High School, in 1999, the Infantry Basic Training in November of 1999, and from the United States Military Academy Preparatory School, Fort Monmouth, N.J., in 2001. He was accepted into the United States Military Academy, West Point, N.Y. and graduated from there in 2005 as a 2LT in the U.S. Army Infantry. He then graduated from Infantry Officers Basic Course in December 2005 where he was on the Commandants List. He graduated from Ranger School, Fort Benning, Ga. in April of 2006 and was deployed to Iraq under Operation Iraqi Freedom on Aug. 12, 2006. He was promoted to 1LT on Nov. 29, 2006. "Neale loved what he was doing and knew that they were doing good things for the Iraqi's."

Proceeds from the 1LT Neale M. Shank bracelet will be donated to the Fisher House Foundation in his memory.
