Lieutenant Julian Holland Brown III, affectionately known as Tre was born on October 22, 1997 in Baltimore, Maryland to Julian Holland Brown II and Tonia Nicole Lott.  He was the youngest of three children, sisters being Jasmine Simone and Shaquan Latrelle.  Julian entered into eternal rest on August 15, 2023.

Upon graduating from high school in 2015, Julian earned his place and accepted admittance to the United States Naval Academy Class of 2019.  Julian entered as a member of 22nd company where he sought to forge strong bonds and lasting friendships. During his sophomore year, Julian's passion for football found an outlet in the football film crew.

Julian pledged Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc., becoming an integral part of the Iota Mu Mu Chapter in Spring 2017. He was part of the line, "Servants by the Furnace," Line Number 8, and was better known as MAXIMUS. Julian wore his fraternity affiliation with a deep sense of pride and honor.

Julian's sense of duty extended beyond the campus. He participated actively in the Stanton Center Outreach Program. His dedication to community service continued through his involvement with the Lockerman Bundy Elementary Outreach Program; his impact was felt far and wide.

In 2019, Julian graduated from the United States Naval Academy with a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics with Economics. Upon graduation he was commissioned as a Submarine Officer in the United States Navy. Julian was enrolled in submarine engineering school in Charleston, SC where he graduated among the top three percent of his class.

From June 2021 to August 2023, Julian served onboard NEW JERSEY (SSN 796). He was instrumental to the performance of NEW JERSEY as Reactor Control Assistant and Assistant Weapons Officer, responsible for the Instrumentation and Control of the Propulsion Plant and key support systems.  He was routinely sought out by the officers and crew as one of the most knowledgeable and charismatic sailors onboard.  He was personally recognized as a top performer during a Reactor Safeguards Examination by Naval Reactors Headquarters. 

While Julian's achievements were undeniably impressive, his truest source of happiness resided within his family. Above all else, he treasured the moments spent in their company. Julian's heart was particularly warmed by the special connection he shared with his nieces and nephews. To them, he was not just an uncle; he was affectionately known as "Uncle Sir," a title he held dear. The bond Julian shared with his sisters was undeniable, a connection that went beyond the typical sibling relationship. He was best friends with his father and held an unwavering love for his mother, one that filled his heart completely. Julian looked forward to holidays and family gatherings as he loved and supported the family games that his mother insisted the family played. His devotion to his family was grounded in love, care, and a genuine connection that truly mattered.

In 2019, Julian met his girlfriend, Melvina “Mel” Brown, at an event called Midsummers. In 2021, Julian and Mel moved to Hampton, Virginia where they built a life and home together and parented two fur babies, Bodie and Xena Brown.  

Julian’s essence was a harmonious blend of qualities that illuminated every aspect of his life. His quick wit and an incredible sense of humor were the center of his character. Julian also embraced life with a zest for adventure. Whether it was hiking, engaging in outdoor activities, or nurturing his newfound love for golf, his passion for nature was unmistakable. He cherished moments spent dancing, solving Rubik's cubes, and simply napping. A lover of literature, he was often engrossed in books and had a special fondness for the television show "The Office." Julian radiated warmth and love. His kindness and compassion were palpable, creating an environment where people felt valued and cherished in his presence.

As we remember the laughter, the accomplishments, and the everlasting love Julian brought into our lives, our hearts hold a special place for a soul gone too soon but forever cherished.
