$35.00

1stLt. Ashleigh Rose Fairow was lost suddenly on May 25, 2023.

Born to Master Sergeant Brian C. Fairow, USMC, and Esther E. Fairow, Ashleigh was a native of Jacksonville, NC. Ashleigh was a standout soccer player at Northside High School in Jacksonville and quickly garnered attention from college programs, ultimately deciding to take her talents to the United States Naval Academy.

Ashleigh was a member of 16th company during her time at the Naval Academy and wasted no time becoming a star player and leader on and off of the soccer field at Navy. Her coaches described her as compassionate, caring, ambitious, an incredible athlete, but even more, a beautiful young woman. Ashleigh played every game like it was her last and she encouraged her teammates to do the same. Those close to her knew her as a friend, a supportive teammate, and a positive person.

After graduating from the Naval Academy in 2019 with a Bachelor of Science in English Studies, Ashleigh commissioned into the United States Marine Corps. Joining the Marine Corps allowed her to follow in her father and grandfather's footprints, making her a third generation Marine. Ashleigh went on to serve as the Communication Strategy and Operations officer at Marine Corps Installations Pacific. She will be remembered for her energy and warmth, and making others always feel special, heard, and seen.

MaryKate Helms who played with Ashleigh, both on their club soccer team, JASA 95 Coastal Surge, and at Navy, described her as “an all-around a great person and a great friend who was always someone you could rely on if you were having a bad day. She was always someone who put you in a good mood because her smile could light up a room. Ashleigh was the first person who would stand up and give us motivation.”

For every 1stLt. Ashleigh Fairow bracelet sold, $10 will be donated to the Wounded Warrior Project.
