Matthew John Berszoner was killed September 17th, 2019 when the single engine aircraft he was aboard went down outside of Hamilton Township, NJ. Matthew’s last Air Force assignment was with the 2nd Air Refueling Squadron, McGuire AFB, NJ.

Matthew had recently completed his Air Force commitment and had just begun flying for United Airlines, with the hopes of moving back to Chicago to be near his family. He was living his life in Philadelphia, surrounded by friends and enjoying flying out of Newark, NJ. Matthew’s friends describe him as positive, hard-working, and accomplished, with an infectious smile. Here’s a toast.
